Mixed Martial Arts
We’re levelling up! Every Friday morning at 6am we’re introducing dedicated MMA sessions with a grappling-first approach.
Expect:
-
Strong emphasis on BJJ groundwork, clinch work, and control
-
Integrated striking that serves the grappling game (not standalone kickboxing)
-
Practical MMA-specific drills to build complete fighters
-
Beginner-friendly progressions so everyone can join the journey
This is MMA training — not a kickboxing gym. If you are a beginner wanting to learn, this is for you. If you already fighting but want to sharpen your game and want to add tools for the full fight game, this is for you.
All levels welcome. When life gives you lemons, squeeze them, elbow them, punch them and kick them.

Josh Faraimo Blue Belt
I’m the coach you’ll see at most training sessions. A husband and father who got hooked on Jiu-Jitsu years ago, I now spend my time trying to convince the good people of Paeroa to come choke me out in my garage.
When my family moved to Paeroa, I faced a simple choice: give up rolling or drive long distances to train. Instead, I decided to build something right here. What started as a way for locals in the same situation to roll together has grown quickly — and most of our members this year are brand new to the sport.
This makes it the perfect time to jump in and learn together at Jiu Jitsu and Paeroa.
